Intro:
‘The following describes the generation of notes by 2 independent, parallel systems – only the Grid Fill Pattern is shared:
· A ‘Fill Pattern’ is generated onto the 8*8 Grid by using the ‘Fill’ control
· Two ‘Step Patterns’ can be ‘drawn’ onto the ‘Grid’ using a mouse/touchpad/whatever
· Each ‘Step Pattern’ has its own Clock Pulse Generator (CPG)
· The ‘Clock Pulse Generators’ emit regular pulses at a division of Live’s tempo
· A ‘Step Pattern’ advances one step for every pulse received from it’s CPG
· Every time a ‘Step Pattern’ steps onto a highlighted ‘Grid Square’ a trigger is generated and sent to the Timbre and Pitch Generators
· Each trigger (not Pulse) advances the Timbre Generators by 1 step and the Pitch Generator (Scale Scan) by 1*Skip steps
